The jersey’s base is finished in a tone-on-tone pattern inspired by the rope wound around the anchor at the heart of the city’s crest, running across the body and sleeves and picked out in orange through the collar detailing – a subtle nod to Edinburgh’s maritime history woven right through the design.
That story continues on the back of the shirt, where the anchor from the Coat of Arms itself appears in an embossed finish across the lower section – the standout detail of the kit, and the clearest link back to the city it represents.
To mark the launch, Ewan Ashman and Wes Goosen headed down to the Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith – fitting surroundings for a kit built around Edinburgh’s ties to the sea.
The jersey keeps a clean, essential construction with a polo collar, finished with orange graphic details on the cuffs and collar.
The Macron Hero and Edinburgh Rugby crest are sublimated onto the chest, while inside the collar, an orange tape carries the ‘Always Edinburgh’ wording in navy lettering.
The personalised back neck completes the build, featuring the club crest, the Macron logo and ‘Designed in Bologna’ – confirmation that every piece is conceived and developed at the Macron Campus.
Navy shorts complete the look, carrying the same rope motif in blue and orange down the sides, alongside matching socks finished with an orange band and ‘1872’ – the club’s founding year – stitched on the back.
Built for performance as much as identity, the jersey features a Body Fit cut and is made primarily from Eco Armevo, with the sleeves, side panels and lower back in Eco Bodytex.
Eco Strong Mesh inserts add lightness and breathability, keeping players comfortable and free-moving through 80 minutes of Edinburgh Rugby action.
As with every Game Set developed by Macron, the kit is produced using Eco Fabric, made entirely from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic.
The new Edinburgh Rugby 2026/27 Home Kit is available now in-store and online at the Scottish Rugby Store and via the dedicated club section at macron.com.
