The kit’s colour palette and dynamic diagonal graphic take their cue from two of Edinburgh’s most iconic exports: the multicoloured charm of Victoria Street and the vibrant spirit of the Edinburgh International Festival.
To bring the kit to life, Edinburgh Rugby players Matt and Tom Currie took to the stage for a specially filmed launch video shot in partnership with festival circus act Sophie’s Surprise 29th, capturing the same spirit that inspired the kit itself.
The result is a bold, unmistakably Edinburgh design that captures the energy of the city both on and off the pitch.
The new jersey is built around a bright orange base, brought to life by a graphic of diagonal bands in light orange, purple and navy blue.
The pattern sweeps across the front and back, creating a real sense of movement, while the sleeves and side panels keep things clean with a solid orange finish. The Macron Hero and Edinburgh Rugby crest sit proudly on the chest in a sublimated print.
The polo collar echoes the graphic’s colours – navy blue, orange and white – while inside the collar you’ll once again find the words Always Edinburgh.
The backneck, split between orange and navy blue, carries the club crest, the Macron logo and Designed in Bologna, a reminder that every detail has been crafted at the Macron Campus.
The diagonal design continues onto the shorts, running along the sides, with the same orange tone through the centre panel tying the whole look together.
Orange socks complete the kit, finished with horizontal stripes in blue, purple and light orange, and 1872 stitched on the back in a nod to the year the club was founded.
Built for performance as much as style, the jersey features a Body Fit cut and is made primarily from Eco Armevo, with the sleeves, side panels and lower back in Eco Bodytex.
Eco Strong Mesh inserts add lightness and breathability, keeping players comfortable and free-moving through 80 minutes of Edinburgh Rugby action. As with every Game Set developed by Macron, the kit is produced using Eco Fabric, made entirely from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic.
The new Edinburgh Rugby 2026/27 Alternate Kit is available in-store and online now at the Scottish Rugby Store, as well as via the dedicated club section on macron.com.
