Club centurion Luke Crosbie made his Edinburgh debut against Zebre in October 2017 after progressing through the club's academy system.
A product of Livingston RFC, Crosbie transferred to Currie as a teenager, where he progressed into the club’s first XV.
After impressing for the capital side – and improving his game as part of the Fosroc Scottish Rugby Academy – the back-row caught the attention of national selectors and was subsequently drafted into the Scotland U20 squad for the 2017 World Rugby U20 Championship in Georgia, where he played a major role in helping the age-grade side to its highest-ever finish of fifth.
The back-row made his debut for the club during October’s 16-15 Guinness PRO14 victory over Zebre at Myreside and has since been an integral player in the capital outfit’s squad.
Crosbie was rewarded for his form in Edinburgh colours when he was called in to Scotland’s Six Nations training squad ahead of the 2019 campaign.
The back-row made his 50th appearance against Scarlets in February 2021, before captaining his boyhood club for the first time in the home Rainbow Cup victory over Zebre in April 2021.
Crosbie was rewarded for a fine 2020-21 campaign when he was named as Player of the Season, while also picking up the Caullie Lug for showing most commitment to the jersey.
The imposing back-row made his 100th appearance for the club away against Benetton Rugby, having risen through the ranks in his hometown club.
