Physical centre Mosese Tuipulotu joined Edinburgh Rugby from the New South Wales Waratahs ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Born in Melbourne and comfortable in both the 12 and 13 jerseys, Tuipulotu is eligible for Scotland through ancestry.

He followed his older brother Sione, now Scotland captain and a British & Irish Lion, to Scottish rugby, and younger brother Tavi has since joined Glasgow Warriors.

A product of St Kevin’s College, Melbourne, Tuipulotu played much of his junior rugby in Victoria, coming through the ranks of the Melbourne Rebels academy.

In 2021 he moved to New South Wales to represent Eastern Suburbs, before being named in the Waratahs squad for 2022. He made his Super Rugby Pacific debut against the Hurricanes in 2023 and went on to feature in an impressive away win over the Crusaders.

Tuipulotu made his Edinburgh debut at outside centre in the opening round of the 2024/25 URC against Leinster at Hive Stadium.

His powerful displays in the capital midfield earned him a place alongside Sione in the Scotland squad for the 2024 Autumn Nations Series, and he featured for Scotland A against Chile that November.

His progress was halted in May 2025, when he suffered a serious knee injury against Connacht.

He returned to action in early 2026 after ten months on the sidelines and marked his comeback by signing a new two-year deal, keeping him in the capital until at least the summer of 2028.
