An Edinburgh man through and through, Grant Gilchrist made his debut for the club against Cardiff Blues 2011 and has been a stalwart in the capital side's starting XV ever since.
Gilchrist made 23 appearances in his debut season, while the second-row was a key man as the capital side became the first-ever Scottish club to reach the Semi-Final stages of the Heineken Champions Cup in 2012.
The second-row made his 50th appearance against the Dragons in 2013, while his 100th match for the club came against the same opponents in 2017.
Gilchrist made his international debut for Scotland against France in the final game of the 2013 RBS 6 Nations Championship and has captained the national team on several occasions.
The MacPhail scholar signed a two-year contract extension ahead of the 2017/18 season, while Gregor Townsend named Gilchrist as Scotland captain for 2018 Summer Tour opener against Canada.
Gilchrist enjoyed a stellar 2018/19 campaign and signed a three-year contract extension which will see him remain at the club until at least 2022.
The lock confirmed himself as a club legend when becoming Edinburgh’s fourth double-centurion away against the Sharks.
