Club centurion Matt Scott returned to Edinburgh for his third stint at the capital club in 2024.
Scott made his professional debut in 2011 as an Elite Development Player at Edinburgh following a decorated age-grade career including appearances for Scotland at Under-19 and Under-20 levels.
Aged just 21, he was included in the Scotland ‘A’ squad and only a month later gained a call-up to the national squad and made his Test debut against Ireland in Dublin.
During the next five seasons, the Dunfermline-born Matt made 39 appearances for the national side including four at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
He made more than 60 appearances in his first stint at Edinburgh, before linking up with Gloucester in 2016 for two seasons and then, in 2018, returned to Edinburgh.
Scott made the move to Leicester Tigers following the 2019/20 season and won the English Premiership title in 2022.
Scott returned to Edinburgh ahead of the 2024/25 season and made his 100th appearance for the club against Ospreys at Dunraven Brewery field in October 2024.
