Kienan Higgins is a familiar face at Hive Stadium. He first joined Edinburgh on a short-term deal in January 2026 to bolster an injury-hit midfield.
Before that, the New Zealander spent five seasons in the NPC with Hawke’s Bay, where he won the Ranfurly Shield.
He then moved to Major League Rugby with New England Free Jacks and started all seven of his appearances at inside centre.
Scottish-qualified through his family heritage, he returned to the capital on a one-year deal. His younger brother, Riley, joins him at the club later in 2026/27.
