Douglas came through the ranks at the city's Stewart's Melville College ahead of joining the club's pro academy ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Douglas was named in the Scotland U20 squad for the 2024 U20 Six Nations, scoring twice in the Round 1 clash against Wales U20.
The abrasive back-row enjoyed a breakout season in 2024/25, making his Scotland, Scotland ‘A’, and Edinburgh debuts in the space of a few weeks.
